About Utah Gate Company
Utah Gate Company, backed by Tri-City Alarm.
I’m Dave Thorpe. I own Tri-City Alarm, and Utah Gate Company operates under it. My team and I help property owners across Northern Utah plan gates that are secure, dependable, and easy to live with.
A note from Dave
I want you to feel confident about who is working on your property.
I’ve spent more than 30 years helping Utah homeowners and businesses protect their properties through Tri-City Alarm. Gate automation and access control have been part of that work for a long time, and Utah Gate Company brings that experience to the entire entrance.
I know a gate can be a major investment. You are trusting us with the first thing people see when they arrive and one of the most important security points on your property. I take that seriously. My job is to help you understand the options, make a sound decision, and end up with a system that works the way you expect it to.
If you call Utah Gate Company, you are not getting handed off to a company with no connection to the security side of the project. You are working with the same local team and experience behind Tri-City Alarm, based here in Lindon.

How I approach the work
A good gate starts with a good conversation.
I start with your property
Before recommending a gate or operator, I want to know what you are securing, who needs access, how often the entrance is used, and what is already in place. Driveway width, slope, drainage, power, traffic, and winter weather can all change the right answer.
We plan access as one system
The gate, operator, keypad, remotes, sensors, cameras, intercoms, and emergency access all need to work together. That is where our Tri-City Alarm background matters. We look beyond the gate itself and think through how the entrance will actually be used.
I think about the years ahead
A gate system will eventually need adjustments and service. We plan equipment placement and maintenance access from the beginning so the system is easier to care for and you are not boxed into a poor setup later.
You’ll get an honest recommendation
I will explain what fits your property, what does not, and why. If the simpler option is the better one, I will tell you. I would rather earn your trust than sell you equipment you do not need.
You’ll know what to expect
My team and I will talk through the scope, equipment, site conditions, and access plan before work begins. Once the system is ready, we will show you how it works and answer your questions.
You can call us after installation
Our relationship does not end the day the gate starts moving. We service gate and access systems, and we want you to know who to call when something needs attention.
